10. Rod Carew<\/span><\/h3>\n

Rod Carew is one of the best second basemen of all time, earning 18 All-Star appearances in 19 seasons with the Minnesota Twins and California Angels.<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the greatest hitters of all-time Carew was a seven-time AL batting champion. A phenomenal contact-hitter Rod Carew’s stats were 3,053 hits, a career batting average of .328 and 1,424 runs scored.<\/span><\/p>\n

9. Jackie Robinson<\/span><\/h3>\n

Jackie Robinson broke down baseball’s color line in 1947 helping end 60 years of segregation. Across a 10-year career Robinson earned six All-Star selections. He was twice the National League leader for stolen bases and in 1949, was batting champion and MVP.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Chase Utley is one of the best second basemen of all time. In a 16-year career he earned six All-Star appearances and won the World Series with the Philadelphia Phillies in 2008. Utley was a great batter winning the Silver Slugger Award four times. <\/span><\/p>\n

He had 1,885 hits, 259 home runs and a batting average of .275. <\/span>Defensively Utley was superb too and he had excellent instincts. In 2009 he stole 23 bases without getting caught, an MLB record in a single season.<\/span><\/p>\n
